On September 6, 2012, the Women's Business Council - Southwest (WBCS) partners with national thought leaders and WBCS members in providing a half-day conference dedicated to educational workshops to help you achieve new heights.
 
Registration check-in opens at 11:30 a.m.
 
The Lillie R. Knox Memorial Luncheon begins at 12:00 noon and features recipients of the Lillie Knox Investing for Growth award … a cash award of up to $5,000 that helps women's business enterprises (WBEs) meet a critical need in their business. Keynote Speaker, Melinda Marcus of InPSYCHS™ will share why women are often undervalued in business and what you can do about it in her presentation entitled, Ladies, Mom Was Wrong.
 
Following the luncheon, each registrant will attend two of four workshops designed for corporations and WBEs packed with relevant business and personal development topics that are sure to equip you throughout 2013! And to improve your odds for growth, it may be time to consider changes in your risk assumptions and action plan. Katie Johnson of Upshaw Johnson.
 
Company will provide an inspirational session Uprooted From Kansas to Oz (for all attendees) between workshops at 3:00 p.m. You won't want to miss this one! Workshop participants can earn Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) that may be applied toward the Institute of Supply Management’s (ISM) CPSM, CPSD, C.P.M. recertification and/or A.P.P. reaccreditation program requirements.
