Mentoring
This project will bring the experience and guidance of our successful WBE business owners to other members, who may be just starting out or who might be looking for a Mentor. In addition, we will use the expertise in specific subject areas that our sustaining members have to offer and make that available to the mentoring teams throughout the duration of the project. The Mentor project will run May - December in 2009.
Requirements to be a Mentee:
- You must be a WBE member, either the owner or an employee
- You are committed to making time to meet with your mentor and listen and respond to her help with a specific goal.
- You have one specific goal you would like to reach during the project
Important requirements to be a Mentor are:
- You have been in business at least five years
- You have one or more employees
- You have the time to dedicate a few hours a month to your mentee
- You will coordinate the use of internal and external resources to assist your mentee
- You will keep all details of the mentee’s business confidential
