2022 Connections to Contracts Award Winners - Corporate Momentum and Women Working Together

Congratulations to our 2022 Connections to Contracts award winners! The Corporate Momentum Award is given to a WBCS Corporate Member who has the highest year over year increase in WBE spend. This year, Lockheed Martin was the recipient for achieving an incredible 150% increase from 2020 to 2021! The award was received by Scott Dobbs, Director of Procurement at Lockheed Martin, who is also a recent addition to the WBCS Board of Directs. Virtual "Prime Time" Sessions at Connections to Contracts

Prime suppliers are an important part of the supply chain, and provide opportunities for you to work directly with them to gain business, while also allowing corporations to fulfill their diversity goals. This year at Connections to Contracts, attendees will be able to attend three virtual Prime Time sessions, hosted by BNSF Railway, Lockheed Martin, and PepsiCo.

With the recent recommendations from the CDC concerning coronavirus (COVID-19), WBCS headquarters are closed to outside visitors until after March 31, 2020. The Council is still open for business and all staff are working remotely to ensure their health, so please feel free to email or call staff if you have any questions.

As we move in to our 25th anniversary year, we are excited to celebrate a successful 2019! Highlights of this year include a notable 28% growth in Sustaining (Corporate) Members and over $11 million in total WBE gross revenue.

WBCS Hosts Open House for their Las Colinas Offices

On November 12, the Women's Business Council - Southwest hosted an open house for members and non-members alike to meet the WBCS staff and tour the office headquarters. Attendees learned about 2019 organizational insights and performance from WBCS President, Debbie Hurst. The 2020 Board of Directors were also introduced.
