ARLINGTON, TEXAS (2016)—On November 8, 2016, the Women’s Business Council – Southwest will hold its annual Power to Potential event at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. The event, which starts with pre-arranged matchmaker sessions with corporate members, is centered on procurement topics for women-owned businesses.

Power to Potential is all about helping our WBEs and Corporate Members connect and learn about capabilities and opportunities to do business,” said Debbie Hurst, President of the Women’s Business Council – Southwest.  “Information is Power and it doesn’t get more relevant that hearing from our keynote speaker.”

This year’s keynote speaker, Mark Pringle, Dell’s Vice President of General Procurement and Market Commodities in the company’s Global Operations organization, will provide insights on Dell’s supplier diversity including the process, tools, and governance initiatives for procurement. Dell is a leader in supplier diversity and has been a Sustaining (Corporate) Member of WBCS for over ten years.

After the luncheon, several afternoon workshops will be held to equip attendees with the information they need to grow and be at the cutting edge of new business and new opportunities in the DFW market as well as nationally and globally. Workshop panelists include corporate representatives from Toyota, State Farm, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
